Dalai Lama to Grace International Conference on Buddhism in Mumbai: Dhamma Diksha

Date:

Mumbai is set to host a prestigious international conference on Buddhism called ‘Dhamma Diksha’, with one remarkable participant capturing significant attention – the revered Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. Union minister Ramdas Athawale recently announced that the Dalai Lama will be in attendance at the conference, along with the prime ministers of Sri Lanka and Thailand. The event, scheduled for December 15th at the sports stadium in Worli and December 16th at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, holds great importance for the Buddhist community.

The return of the Dalai Lama to Mumbai has generated considerable interest and excitement among his followers in the city. Despite his recent poor health, which has led to a reduction in his public appearances, his devotees are eagerly awaiting his address at the event.

The Dalai Lama’s participation not only adds a sense of profound spiritual wisdom and guidance to the conference but also highlights the broader influence of Buddhism in the world. His presence serves as a powerful source of inspiration and a reminder of the enduring impact the teachings of Buddhism can have on individuals and societies.

The conference itself aims to promote inner peace, harmony, and social unity, providing an unique platform for scholars, experts, and leading practitioners to exchange their ideas, thoughts, and best practices.

It is noteworthy that the conference will also feature various prominent attendees from other countries, including Bhutan Princess Kesang Wangmo Wangchuk, Buddhist leaders from Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and other countries.

In conclusion, the upcoming Dhamma Diksha conference in Mumbai promises to be a significant event in the Buddhist community, as it solidifies Dr. Ambedkar’s vision and aspiration of organizing this conference. The participation of various prominent Buddhist leaders from different countries is a testament to the widespread adoption of Buddhist principles and practices across the world. We urge the Buddhist and Ambedkarite communities to take part in this conference and make it a great success.
