About
Kainaz Motivala is a sound healer, yoga instructor and Waldorf early-childhood educator based in Mumbai, with a rich earlier life as a journalist, published writer, dancer and actress in the Indian film industry. Trained in sound healing in Auroville, she serves as a consulting sound practitioner at AUM Life, the Worli urban ashram where ancient practices meet modern life, offering one-to-one sessions, group classes and events. Her work uses sound and vibration to guide people toward deep relaxation, emotional release and a renewed sense of balance, complemented by yoga and conscious-movement practices. Best known on screen for films including Wake Up Sid and Ragini MMS, she trained for six years under choreographer Shiamak Davar and graduated with a degree in Mass Media from Jai Hind College, Mumbai, before turning her focus to healing and education. Through her practice at AUM Life she brings together creative expression, mindful movement and the meditative power of sound, helping clients reconnect with stillness amid the pace of city life.
