Dr. Kruti S. Dhirwani
Dr. Kruti S. Dhirwani became the first doctor in her industrialist family, a distinction she describes with characteristic understatement as simply following the spark she always felt inside. Over the fifteen years since she began her clinical practice, she has built two complementary bodies of work: Sunshine Homeopathy, her consulting practice for chronic conditions across Mumbai, and Magic of Mom, a parenting and nutrition platform that reaches over a thousand readers a month.
Her clinical focus is women's and children's health. At Sunshine Homeopathy, she treats the full breadth of what brings women and families to a Mumbai clinic — diabetes, hypertension, thyroid and hormonal disorders, PCOS, skin conditions including psoriasis and vitiligo, paediatric asthma and low immunity, and the gynaecological conditions that too often go undertreated. She holds a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery alongside a second Master's degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, and has specialised further into clinical nutrition and onco-nutrition — dietary support for people navigating cancer treatment. That dual grounding lets her approach a patient from both the constitutional angle of classical homeopathy and the precision angle of medical nutrition therapy.
The turn towards millets was a natural development of this prevention-oriented thinking. In her own research into ecologically sound and nutritionally dense foods, she encountered the extraordinary potential of India's ancient grain varieties — and in 2022 published her first book on the subject. Her work on millets is now part of a broader effort, sustained through Magic of Mom, to build a public conversation about food that is honest, evidence-grounded, and rooted in what actually nourishes rather than what sells. She runs workshops on women's health alongside fellow women doctors, holds nutritional counselling sessions for institutions and companies, and supports small and medium businesses in implementing better dietary practices for lifestyle conditions.
What runs through all of it is the conviction she borrows from Hippocrates: let food be thy medicine. For patients who want a practitioner who will take the whole picture seriously — the body's symptoms and its relationship with food, the lifestyle choices and the emotional background — Dr. Kruti's practice at Sunshine Homeopathy offers a carefully considered and experience-verified starting point. Her Mumbai consultations and online practice for patients across India are available to book on Dharte.
