Dr. B. Sivaramappa

April 2026 · 3 min read

Dr. B. Sivaramappa is one of India’s most internationally active spiritual teachers. Holding a Master’s degree in Yogic Sciences and a Doctorate in Meditation and Spiritual Science, he has devoted more than 25 years to promoting meditation, spiritual education, and ethical values both within India and across the world. His titles — Dhyana Rathna (from the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement, India), Amrutha Rathna (from Samyaa Yoga Maha Vidyalaya, Bengaluru), and the rare honorific Brahmarshi — reflect a career that has left a significant mark on global meditation teaching.

His institutional home is the Pyramid Spiritual Science Academy (PSSA) in Bengaluru, where he serves as Working Chairman and Managing Director. PSSA is a wing of the larger Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement and is committed to spreading the ancient wisdom of meditation and spiritual science to the general public. Dr. Sivaramappa has personally designed the academy’s entire academic framework — short-term courses, long-term programmes, Applied Meditation & Spiritual Science certificate courses at multiple levels, and a dedicated Spiritual Science Teachers Training programme — and has authored all the textbooks that support these courses, including a codified Spiritual Science curriculum for classes 6 through 12 and for undergraduate students.

That curriculum has already been introduced in around 150 schools and colleges across India, reaching approximately 18,000 students — a remarkable grassroots achievement in a country where spiritual education is too often confined to religious institutions or ignored altogether. PSSA is affiliated with Bangalore University and delivers a Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate Courses in Yoga Studies, with its college campus at Pyramid Valley International. Dr. Sivaramappa also serves as International Vice President of Vedic Wellness University (Florida, USA) and a former member of RULA’s World Research Council.

His teaching has travelled globally — to Malaysia, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (Vietnam), Shanghai (China), Sri Lanka, Cairo and Alexandria (Egypt), Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town (South Africa). He also founded the Centre for Spiritual Science Research in 2023, promoting rigorous research into mind-body-spirit topics, Indian philosophies, and spiritual psychology. What makes his work distinctive is its ambition to treat spiritual science as a proper subject of academic study and public benefit — useful not only for personal salvation but for the broader project of a peaceful, cooperative society. For students, seekers, and professionals ready to engage with meditation at a serious level, PSSA is one of the most complete environments in India — and Dr. Sivaramappa is the teacher whose vision holds it all together.
